Trusts and Settlements

Trusts are not just used in the drafting of wills, but can be used at any time in your life, for example saving for your child’s further education or merely preparing for the future.  Our specialised team can help you will all aspects of trusts and settlements.

We are able to advise on the formation of settlements and trusts and on their continuing management  In doing so we are always mindful of the various tax and other implications.  We can assist with the preparation and completion of your annual tax returns and accounts, as well as dealing with the distribution of the trust’s assets and any tax certificates that are required.

We can also prepare a variety of ancillary trust documents, including deeds of appointment and retirement of trustees, deeds of advancement, and all trustees’ resolutions.

We also regularly advise on and prepare enduring powers of attorney and give guidance on how powers of attorney should be used and when they should be registered with the court.
